About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Payroll Specialist with 3–5 years of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats, supporting payroll operations while contributing to HR, accounting, and administrative functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Process full-cycle payroll for employees accurately and on time (weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly)
Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, bonuses, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with audits
Collaborate with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and employee data updates
Assist accounting with reporting, journal entries, and financial reconciliations
Support benefits administration and timekeeping systems
Step in on various administrative or operational tasks as needed

Qualifications

3–5 years of payroll processing experience
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, and compliance
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel and general accounting principles
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift between tasks effectively
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
