Controller

Full-Time | Direct Hire | $80,000–$85,000

A privately owned automotive parts business in the Greenwood, IN area is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting operations, modernize financial systems, and support strategic financial decision-making. This role offers full ownership of the accounting function within a stable, growing small business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions, including:

• Full-cycle accounting: entries, reconciliations, reporting
• Daily bank reconciliations and cash management
• ACH processing, check cutting, and vendor communication
• Credit card reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
• Sales tax reporting and compliance
• Year-end reconciliation and coordination with CPA
• Cash flow statements, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Weekly payroll for 15–20 employees
• Support purchasing/receiving with financial oversight
• Assist leadership with budgeting and long-term planning

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000–$85,000

• PTO: 1 week in year one (negotiable)

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Bookkeeper, or similar role
• Strong reconciliation, cash flow, and financial reporting skills
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Ability to lead a system upgrade or software transition
• Small-business, dealership, or multi-location experience is a plus
• Real estate or rental property accounting experience is helpful but not required
