General Manager (in Training)

GENERAL MANAGER – THEATRE PROPERTIES

Our client, a leading real estate and entertainment company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead one of their theatre properties. In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of venue operations — from delivering an outstanding guest experience to driving financial performance and building a strong team culture.

 

What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day operations and set the standard for guest experience across the venue
• Own the property's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue growth
• Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team
• Collaborate with programming and marketing teams to deliver a compelling event calendar
• Cultivate relationships with touring companies, promoters, and local arts organizations
• Serve as a community ambassador and industry leader on behalf of the organization

What You Bring

• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in live entertainment, venue management, or hospitality
• Proven P&L ownership and the ability to hit financial targets in a complex operation
• A track record of leading teams in fast-paced, guest-facing environments
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the event schedule demands
• Experience in a theatre, performing arts center, or live entertainment venue is a plus
