Cook – Express Employment Professionals

 

Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join a local team. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in a timely and efficient manner
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
• Monitor food inventory and report shortages as needed
• Assist with food prep, stocking, and kitchen setup/cleanup
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus

Schedule & Pay:

• Flexible shifts available (may include evenings, weekends, or holidays)
• Pay: $16–$18/hour, depending on experience
