About the Role
This Press Brake Operator role in St. Charles is built for an experienced operator who can set up and run press brake machines independently. You’ll be forming sheet metal to print, dialing in tooling, back gauges, and bend angles, and producing consistent, high‑quality parts in a fabrication environment. This is a skilled trade role for someone who understands precision forming—not a helper or button‑pusher.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines to form sheet metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, bend lines, tolerances, and forming specifications
• Select, install, and align punches, dies, and press brake tooling
• Program or input bend sequences, angles, and back gauge settings
• Inspect finished parts to ensure angle accuracy, dimensions, and repeatability to print

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Must have direct press brake machine operation experience — general machine operation or fabrication experience alone does NOT qualify
• Proven experience setting up press brakes, including tooling selection and machine adjustments
• Ability to read blueprints and understand bend deductions and material thickness
• Experience working with steel, stainless, or aluminum sheet metal
• Comfortable making adjustments to achieve consistent, accurate bends

This Role is NOT for You If:

• You have never personally set up or run a press brake machine
• Your experience is limited to general fabrication, assembly, or machine tending
• You rely entirely on others to program, set up, or troubleshoot brake operations
