About the Role
This CNC Machinist position is for an experienced machinist in St. Charles who can program, set up, and run CNC mills and/or lathes independently. You’ll work from blueprints, hold tight tolerances, and make real-time edits and offsets in a production or job shop environment. This is a skilled machinist role—not a button‑pushing position.

What You'll Be Doing

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes using G-code or conversational controls
• Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and basic GD&T to produce precision parts
• Perform complete machine setups including tooling, fixturing, work offsets, and tool length offsets
• Edit programs and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain quality and surface finish
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Must have hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operation experience — button pressers or machine monitors do NOT qualify
• Proven experience running CNC mills and/or lathes in a production or job shop environment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances and machining requirements
• Experience editing CNC programs and troubleshooting machining issues
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, and feeds

This Role is NOT for You If:

• Your experience is limited to loading parts and pressing cycle start
• You have never set up tooling, fixtures, or edited CNC programs
• Your background is general manufacturing or machine operation without CNC machining experience
