Parts Department Clerk
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Department Clerk in Mattoon, IL. This role plays a key part in supporting our service department by ensuring technicians and service advisors have the parts they need to keep operations running efficiently, while also delivering excellent customer service at the parts counter. Pay is $16-$18/hr depending on experience. This is a full-time, permanent position in Mattoon, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with automotive technicians and service advisors to source and order parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Accurately process parts orders and maintain inventory records
• Provide counter sales support and assist customers with parts inquiries
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal staff and external customers
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts and supplies
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems
• Assist in tracking backorders and follow up on outstanding parts orders

Qualifications:

• Prior automotive knowledge or experience in a parts department is highly preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry and inventory systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
