About the Role

A growing healthcare organization in the Central Valley is seeking an HR Generalist / Associate HR Business Partner to support day-to-day human resources operations and assist with broader HR initiatives. This role works closely with senior HR leadership and offers the opportunity to gain strategic HRBP experience while supporting multi-site healthcare/pharmacy operations in Visalia and Bakersfield.

This is an excellent fit for an HR professional who is experienced in generalist functions, knowledgeable in California labor laws, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ability to learn and process payroll through ADP is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, HR transactions, and full employee lifecycle processes.
  • Assist with employee relations inquiries; escalate complex matters to senior HR leadership as needed.
  • Coordinate HR initiatives, programs, and cross-functional projects across multiple sites.
  • Provide accurate guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with California employment laws.
  • Maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and documentation within HRIS platforms.
  • Support the implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of HR systems and tools, including ADP.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on organizational development, growth initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Travel up to approximately 10% to support sites in Central and Southern California.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR Generalist, HR Operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting HR programs and coordinating initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to support leaders and employees across multiple locations.
  • Experience using ADP/WFN (user-level experience acceptable; ability to process payroll required).
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and general office systems.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com (preferred).
  • Prior experience in healthcare or pharmacy operations (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands to operate office equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% to regional sites.
