Pay: $25+DOE  

 

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, fully onsite position- Day Shift

 

Position Summary Overview:

The Costing Specialist is responsible for calculating and analyzing costs for manufactured home units, developing materials lists for new models, monitoring and improving material usage, and calculating costs for damaged materials. This role also reviews and verifies the accuracy of all home orders, analyzes option offerings and special project requests, and coordinates with production, accounting, and management teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost accuracy across operations.

 

 Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Calculate total costs of manufactured home units.
• Develop new materials lists for new home models.
• Monitor materials usage and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Calculate costs for damaged materials and track departmental materials usage.
• Analyze and evaluate option offerings and special project requests for cost impact.
• Coordinate damage control meetings with management to address material loss and process improvements.
• Review and verify the accuracy of all home orders prior to production.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with home construction methods.
• Knowledge of building materials and units of measure.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to walk through production facilities and adjoining properties; occasional outdoor work required.
• Must wear PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
• Reliable attendance is required; it may include weekends, evenings, or overtime as needed.
