Sewing Machine Operator

Salary: $20-$22 an hour DOE

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sewing Machine Operator for our client located in Back of The Yards.

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines, assembling fabric products, and ensuring all finished items meet quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate thread, materials, and machine settings for each job
• Cut, sew, and assemble fabric according to specifications and patterns
• Attach components such as buttons, zippers, clasps, and other fasteners
• Operate sewing machines, including adjusting stitch length and width
• Replace needles and perform routine machine adjustments as needed
• Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize downtime
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous experience operating sewing machines (industrial preferred)
• Ability to read and follow patterns, instructions, and measurements
• Basic knowledge of sewing machine operation and maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Good vision (corrective lenses acceptable)
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time in a production environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
