Silk Screen Printer

Located in Chicago, IL

Salary: $20-$25 an hour DOE

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Screen Printer for our client located in Back of The Yards.

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

 

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating screen printing equipment, mixing inks, and ensuring high-quality printed products. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, mechanical ability, and a commitment to quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret work orders to determine job specifications, materials, and timelines
• Prepare screens, including selecting sizes, applying emulsions, and setting up designs
• Mix inks to achieve accurate colors based on customer requirements
• Set up, calibrate, and operate screen printing equipment
• Load and adjust screens, plates, and pressure settings as needed
• Monitor production runs and perform quality checks throughout the process
• Troubleshoot equipment or print issues to minimize downtime
• Dry, fold, and package finished products for shipment
• Clean and maintain equipment after each production run

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in screen printing or similar production role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Comfortable working with inks, chemicals, and production machinery
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed
