Farmers Branch client is needing a seasoned and versatile Shipping & Receiving Clerk. 

Position Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring materials move efficiently through the warehouse.  This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate records and supporting on-time delivery to customers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1.          Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents
  2.          Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors
  3.           Process and record received goods in the ERP or warehouse management system
  4.           Prepare and process outgoing shipments including packing lists, bills of lading (BOL), and shipping bhcls
  5.           Coordinate with carriers, freight companies, and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries
  6.    Stage finished goods and materials for shipment
  7.    Ensure shipments meet customer requirements and packaging standards
  8.           Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and documentation
  9.          Assist with inventory control including cycle counts and stock verification
  10.          Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
  11.           Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area
  12.          Communicate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams regarding shipment status and material availability

Skills & Qualifications: 

  •       High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Experience preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading and packing lists
  •           Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
  •          Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  •          Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  •      Experience working with LTL< FTL, and parcel shipments 
  •      Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics scheduling 
  •      Experience with barcode scanners and inventory systems
  •      Experience in manufacturing and distribution
