Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Part‑Time Instructor to teach beginner woodworking to elementary‑age students.

Position: Part‑Time Woodworking Instructor

Pay: $25/hr
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Schedule: Week‑long sessions | 4 hours per day | June–August
Location: Mobile classroom traveling to multiple sites in the Flathead Valley

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to various locations and teach basic woodworking skills using hand tools
  • Lead small groups of elementary‑age students through beginner projects
  • Follow provided lesson plans and teach safe tool use
  • Support students as they learn, problem‑solve, and build confidence
  • Participate in training to learn the mobile classroom setup and teaching approach
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve and enhance the mobile classroom experience
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed

  • Basic woodworking skills and a desire to help others learn
  • Ability to follow guidelines and teach from structured lesson plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly, patient, and encouraging approach with kids
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with students, parents, and host locations
  • Willingness to give and receive feedback
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma
  • Basic woodworking knowledge
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience or an educator license
  • Recent classroom experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification (training can be provided)
