Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our assisted living facility team. The Cook will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare meals according to menus, dietary restrictions, and portion requirements
Ensure food is cooked, seasoned, and presented properly
Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and care team
Qualifications:
Current Food Handler License required
Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, assisted living, or similar settings
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
