A leading industrial manufacturing organization in the Hamilton area is seeking a hands-on Industrial Operations Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and a focus on safety and efficiency.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily plant operations, ensure production targets are met, maintain quality standards, and promote a safe, organized, and efficient workplace. You’ll lead a team, coordinate with quality control, and have a direct impact on operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise 12–15 production employees
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by training and guiding production personnel
• Establish and monitor production performance and quality standards
• Control and minimize labour overtime and equipment repair costs
• Maintain plant facilities and equipment, recommending improvements or replacements to increase efficiency
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Promote shop floor organization and cleanliness among staff
• Ensure proper operation of production equipment and coordinate repairs as needed
• Actively support and participate in workplace safety initiatives
• Conduct daily meetings with production teams
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of supplies and raw materials
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency

Are You Qualified?

• Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor or in a similar manufacturing leadership role
• Hands-on experience managing production equipment and operations processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills
• Proven team leadership and supervisory experience
• High School Diploma required; diploma or degree in a related field is an asset

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking on the production floor
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying climates
• Hands-on involvement with production equipment and processes
