Entry Level Grind Booth Operator
Pay: $18.00 
Shift Available: Day Shift (Monday – Friday)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry Level Grind Booth Operator to join our clients manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

As a Grind Booth Operator, you will assist in finishing and preparing sheet metal parts by grinding, deburring, and smoothing edges to meet quality standards. This role plays an important part in ensuring finished metal components are safe, clean, and ready for the next stage of production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grind, sand, and deburr sheet metal parts to remove sharp edges and imperfections
  • Use hand tools, grinders, and finishing equipment to prepare parts
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications
  • Break parts from master sheets and prepare them for finishing
  • Maintain proper workflow to keep up with production schedules
  • Notify supervisors of production delays or quality concerns
  • Perform basic maintenance and care of grinding and finishing equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized grind booth and work area
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Assist with additional production or finishing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Previous manufacturing or shop experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass a background chec

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and dust
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment (gloves, eye protection, etc.)
