Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair activities for one or more buildings to ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Supervises maintenance technicians, coordinates daily and preventive maintenance tasks, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily operations of facility maintenance technicians in alignment with company policies.
• Train, guide, and evaluate team members to ensure performance and safety compliance.
• Assign and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure timely, high-quality completion.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify repair needs, and prioritize facility improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies for routine and emergency tasks.
• Monitor building system performance and use building management systems (BMS) to optimize operations.
• Communicate with building occupants regarding maintenance needs and project updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or a two-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of facilities maintenance experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• Preferred experience with systems such as scrubbed exhaust, wastewater treatment, PCW chillers, air handlers, EHS systems, and fire/life safety systems.
• Experience developing facility maintenance procedures and specifications.

Skills & Abilities
• Strong communication, reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of facility procedures, equipment, and safety practices.
• Understanding of facility control systems and life safety system design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement maintenance solutions.
• Ability to drive performance improvements with equipment suppliers and internal teams.
• Skilled in developing facility performance metrics and optimizing technician workflows.
• Ability to foster a productive, high-engagement team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform typical office tasks such as typing and computer work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 51 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, climb, and perform physical tasks as required.
• Ability to observe, inspect, communicate, and exchange information continuously while performing job duties.
