Our client located in Cary, IL is looking for Sorters to join their 1st SHIFT team!

In this position, you will perform detailed inspection of precision-machined parts to identify non-conformance, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep accurate records. If you have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy working in a clean, organized environment, this may be the job for you!

Pay: $16.00/hr

Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm

Sorter Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspection of precision parts using a microscope and various gauges.
• Identify and confirm non-conforming parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
• Accurately contain, label, and route production lots.
• Provide supervisors samples for approval before completing job assignments.
• Support inspection and secondary departments as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor, foreman, and other departments regarding quality and job status.

Sorter Physical Requirements:

• Adequate manual dexterity to handle delicate parts and tools.
• Corrected visual acuity for reading directions and inspecting small precision components.
• Ability to work for extended periods using a microscope, including frequent sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently throughout the shift.

Sorter Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math for counting and inventory.
• Able to work self-directed in a multitask environment.
• Computer proficient with strong keyboarding skills.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Good attendance and work performance history.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
