Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a dependable Receiving Clerk / Shipping & Receiving Specialist for an established industrial supply operation in the Salem area. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately processing incoming shipments while maintaining organized inventory and clean warehouse areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory, or receiving, be detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
• Compare shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Unload deliveries and place items in designated warehouse locations
• Enter inventory into system and maintain accurate records
• Maintain clean and organized receiving areas and storage bins
• Label and stock inventory efficiently
• Communicate discrepancies or restocking needs with warehouse staff
Required Qualifications
• Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory roles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
