Job Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a manufacturing company in Spring Valley seeking a Purchasing Manager to support day-to-day purchasing, inventory control, and material planning within a production environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring raw materials are available to meet production demands while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, scheduling, inventory, and shipping teams to keep materials flowing and production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
1 Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies needed to support manufacturing operations
2 Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and competitive pricing
3 Forecast material needs based on production schedules and usage trends
4 Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
5 Monitor inventory and purchasing activity to prevent shortages or excess material
6 Collaborate with production and leadership teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow
7 Generate reports related to purchasing activity, supplier performance, and inventory levels

• 2–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory control systems
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse experience is a plus
