Salary: $18-20 DOE

Position Overview:
A local restoration company is seeking a dependable Mitigation Technician to assist with emergency property damage restoration projects. This position responds to residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other environmental damage. The Mitigation Technician will perform demolition, cleanup, drying, and restoration support tasks while ensuring safety standards and quality workmanship are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency restoration calls for water, fire, smoke, and mold damage

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture monitoring

• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers

• Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation

• Perform cleanup and sanitation of affected areas

• Assist with pack-out and inventory of customer belongings when necessary

• Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, and moisture readings

• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards

• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members

• Ensure job sites remain clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Previous restoration, construction, demolition, or labor experience preferred but not required

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in various environments

• Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and damaged structures

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Preferred (but not required):

• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, etc.)

• Experience with water mitigation equipment and moisture meters

• Construction or disaster restoration experience

Work Environment:
This position involves working in residential and commercial properties that may have experienced water, smoke, or structural damage. PPE will be provided and required in certain environments.
