Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Office Manager to oversee daily office operations and lead core administrative functions including Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting support, and team leadership. This role plays a key part in cultivating a positive workplace culture while ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management & Leadership
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a professional, organized, and productive work environment.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for staff, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to administrative staff.
- Develop and implement office policies, procedures, and organizational systems.
- Coordinate company meetings, events, and internal communications.
Human Resources
- Assist with recruitment: job postings, screening, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records, performance documentation, and compliance files.
- Manage employee relations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and policy updates.
- Ensure HR practices align with legal requirements and company values.
Payroll Administration
- Process accurate and timely payroll on a weekly/biweekly schedule.
- Maintain payroll records, timesheets, deductions, and corrections.
- Coordinate with accounting on payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.
Accounting Support
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
- Help reconcile monthly financial statements and support budgeting efforts.
- Work closely with leadership and external accounting partners as needed.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Must know how to use QuickBooks.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in office management or administrative leadership.
- Experience with HR tasks (recruitment, onboarding, compliance) required.
- Payroll processing experience highly preferred.
- Basic accounting knowledge (AP/AR, reconciliation) strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, HRIS/payroll systems, and accounting software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 7:30AM-4:30PM
