Position Summary
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing CAD Drafter / Manufacturing Engineer to support production and engineering operations. This role focuses on converting sketches and CAD files into manufacturing-ready drawings, creating detailed part and assembly documentation, and updating drawings based on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). The ideal candidate has CAD experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable collaborating with engineering and production teams.

 

Responsibilities

• Convert marked-up sketches or CAD files into accurate, manufacturing-ready drawings

• Create detailed drawings for parts, weldments, and assemblies

• Update and revise drawings based on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

• Prepare cut lists, flat patterns, and other production documentation as needed

• Maintain organized drawing files and support production efficiency

• Deliver accurate, production-ready drawings consistently

Requirements

• Experience with CAD software in a manufacturing or fabrication setting

• Ability to interpret sketches, markups, and technical notes

• Understanding of mechanical drawings, parts, assemblies, and weldments

• Experience with Engineering Change documentation preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to sit for long periods while working on a computer

• Occasional standing, walking, or moving around the manufacturing floor

• Lift materials, drawings, or small components up to 25 lbs

Skills

• CAD drafting and technical drawing creation (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)

• Mechanical design and drawing interpretation
