Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient manufacturing and consistent product quality. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and is comfortable diagnosing machine issues, performing minor repairs, and assisting with preventative maintenance while supporting daily production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment including winders, grinders, hoppers, and boring machines
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make mechanical adjustments to maintain optimal production performance
• Assist with routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment
• Identify mechanical problems such as abnormal sounds, vibration, or equipment malfunction and resolve or escalate as needed
• Change tooling, adjust machine settings, and perform setup changes when required
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor gauges, lights, and control systems to ensure equipment is running correctly
• Communicate equipment issues, downtime, or safety concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments
• Understanding of industrial machinery and production equipment
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring tools
• Ability to read gauges, indicators, and machine controls
• Basic math and measurement skills
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Education and Experience:

• 1+ years operating manufacturing equipment or industrial machinery
• Mechanical troubleshooting or equipment maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Experience with machine setup, changeovers, or adjustments preferred
• Forklift experience required or willingness to be certified
