Skilled Electrician 

 New Iberia, LA | Full-Time | Pay: $26-32/Hr. DOE 

We are seeking a Skilled Electrician with strong commercial or industrial experience to join a local company in New Iberia.

 

Duties:

• Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures

• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or needed repairs

• Plan and install wiring based on blueprints, job specifications, and electrical codes

• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve electrical issues to prevent production delays

• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure proper operation

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience

• Knowledge of 12V, 24V, 120/208V, and 277/480V electrical systems

• Experience with single-phase and three-phase systems

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Ability to use hand and power tools

• Basic computer skills

Preferred:

• Journeyman electrician license or equivalent

• Knowledge of data and fire alarm systems

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and perform physical labor including lifting, climbing, and pulling wire
