Our client in Independence, IA is looking for a 1^st Shift CNC Operator!

Position Summary: The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce quality parts that meet precise specifications. This role involves loading and unloading parts, monitoring machine performance, making minor adjustments, and performing quality inspections throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload fixtures and parts into CNC machines safely and efficiently
• Change tooling inserts as required to maintain production quality and efficiency
• Make tooling offset adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
• Monitor and maintain machine fluids such as coolant and lubrication
• Perform routine quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and part-specific gauges
• Follow written and verbal work instructions to ensure proper production procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals

Qualifications:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00am – 3:30pm

Pay:

• $17.50/hour
