Our client in Independence, IA is looking for a 1^st Shift Balancer!

Position Summary: The Balancer is responsible for spin balancing and grinding components to meet strict tolerance standards. This role ensures parts meet quality specifications before shipment by performing inspections, maintaining accurate paperwork, and supporting efficient shop operations. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, can follow instructions closely, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform spin balancing of parts and grind components to achieve a tolerance within 1 oz
• Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Package finished parts for shipment
• Complete required paperwork as jobs move through shop operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all shop procedures and safety guidelines

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs

Hours:

• Monday – Friday (5am – 3:30pm)
• Saturday (5am – 10am)

Pay:

• $17.50/hour
