2nd Shift Production Line Lead

Salary: $19/hr

Job Summary/Company Information: 

 

An automotive manufacturing company in Columbus, IN is hiring a Production Line Lead to their team. The Production Line Lead oversees daily operations on a manufacturing or assembly line to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. 

 

 

Production Line Lead's Responsibilities:

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Complete and verify paperwork for daily production activities
• Serve as the primary link between assembly operators and team leaders
• Train new and existing team members to ensure consistent processes
• Confirm products meet all safety and quality standards
• Audit work areas to ensure work instructions and procedures are being followed
• Demonstrate safe work practices and reinforce safety expectations
• Assist on the production line as needed to maintain output
• Perform line changeovers efficiently
• Work overtime when required to meet production demands
• Maintain and support 5S workplace organization
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives

 

Schedule: 2nd Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 3pm-12am
• Overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have 1-3 months of related experience
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and use of hands
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment
• Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures
• Ability to lift or move items over 40 lbs as needed
• Work environment typically has moderate noise levels
• Must have adequate vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
