Job Title: Environmental Services Technician – Full-Time - Winfield IL

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour Schedule: 40 hours/week (5x8 hour shifts) Rotation: Every other weekend required Department: Environmental Services

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Environmental Services Technician to join our healthcare team. This full-time role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Candidates with janitorial experience will be strongly considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and project-based cleaning tasks throughout the facility

• Mop, scrub, and buff floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals

• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated areas

• Assist with lifting and moving furniture or equipment as needed

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and public areas

• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times

• Operate floor care machines and other cleaning tools

• Collaborate with team members to complete assignments efficiently

• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and support special cleaning projects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous janitorial or environmental services experience highly desirable

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• Familiarity with floor care equipment (buffers, scrubbers, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to work weekends and adapt to changing priorities

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and up-to-date seasonal flu vaccine is required
