We are seeking CNC Operators to safely and efficiently set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to produce high‑quality parts with tight tolerances. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Schedules
Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-2:00 AM OR Friday-Sunday 11 PM-7:00 AM
Compensation: $20-$27 DOE
Set up CNC machines, adjust programs, and configure tooling, clamping, calibrations, and console settings for operations such as milling, drilling, boring, threading, and profiling.
Operate machines and monitor performance to ensure accuracy, detect malfunctions, and maintain proper tolerances.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools; perform first‑article and in‑process inspections.
Replace worn or damaged tools and maintain machines, tooling, and work areas in optimal condition.
Troubleshoot machining issues, recover machines from alarms, and communicate solutions to supervisors.
Assemble machined parts to verify fit and function.
Make offset adjustments and navigate controller screens as needed.
Complete all required documentation, work orders, and quality records.
Follow safe work practices and perform proper startup and shutdown procedures.
High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational or technical training in machining required; CNC Operator Certificate preferred.
Minimum 3 years of machine operation experience.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and understanding of machine controls.
Knowledge of tooling, inventory control, and basic supply management.
Effective verbal communication skills and willingness to support process improvements.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Manual dexterity for computer and machine operation.
Correctable vision and hearing; ability to inspect small parts and fine details.
Ability to move throughout a large production area and stand for extended periods.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
Ability to bend, reach, and move as required for machine operation. #1939ST
