1st Shift Metal Sorter

 

Our client in South Beloit, IL is looking for Metal Sorters! This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate for this position will be okay with manual labor and have a can-do attitude! Job Requirements: 

• Sort and separate various types of scrap metal including ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Identify metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, steel, and stainless steel for proper recycling classification.
• Remove non-metal materials or contaminants from scrap loads.
• Assist with unloading incoming scrap materials and organizing them into designated areas.
• Work alongside equipment operators and yard personnel to ensure materials are processed efficiently.
• Perform general labor duties around the yard as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• Willing to work outside
• General Labor
• H.S. Diploma or G.E.D
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time 
• Use a computer
