Production Assistant – Full Time – 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (M–F)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Production Assistant with strong SAP knowledge and a manufacturing background. This role supports production operations by creating, maintaining, and processing manufacturing documentation while ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, print, assemble, and file shop packets

• Close and cancel manufacturing orders as directed

• Maintain manual log books for manual manufacturing orders

• Reprint shop packets and print issue/receipt tickets as needed

• Enter manufacturing orders into MAPICS

• Make temporary changes to bills of materials and routings as directed by Engineering

• Assign and check work of other clerks

• Sustain 6S standards throughout production areas

• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OSHAS 18801 requirements

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge and experience with SAP

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work accurately with numbers, letters, and detailed documentation

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Education & Experience

• High school diploma preferred

• Minimum 2 years clerical experience in a manufacturing or similar environment

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Must be dependable with consistent attendance

• Ability to work in an open plant environment with noise, dust, and oily/greasy materials

• Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Frequent movement through production areas, including stairs

• Ability to assemble/disassemble shop packets for extended periods

• Clear communication over the phone required
