Machinist

Located in Dunkirk, NY

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Machinist for a reputable local welding shop in the Dunkirk area. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive pay, a stable schedule, and room for long-term growth within the company.

Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour BOE

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain machining equipment (manual and/or CNC depending on experience)
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Measure, inspect, and verify precision components
Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
Work closely with welders and fabrication team
Ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety standards

Qualifications:

Prior machining experience required
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Strong mechanical aptitude
Reliable, team-oriented, and focused on quality
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
