Job Summary: The Softgel Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining softgel encapsulation equipment used in the production of dietary supplements. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining strict quality standards, safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor softgel encapsulation machines to produce high-quality softgel capsules according to production schedules.
• Set up equipment, including die rolls, wedge temperature, fill pumps, and gelatin ribbon alignment.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal production speed and product quality.
• Inspect softgel capsules for size, weight, seal integrity, and appearance.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Document production data including batch records, downtime, yields, and quality checks.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with food-grade manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, or supplement manufacturing preferred.
• Experience operating softgel encapsulation equipment or similar production machinery is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and complete batch records and production documentation.
• Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment.

 

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 4am-12:30pm and Thursday-Monday, 12pm-8:30pm
