POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Customer Care Specialist/Delivery Driver (CCS/DD)
Pay Range: $18 to $20 per hour

SUMMARY:

The primary role of the CCS/DD is to provide prompt and courteous desktop delivery of products to Base Supply Center customers across the base. This team member also delivers exceptional customer service and supports various order fulfillment tasks. Responsibilities include operating the register, stocking, assisting with customer service, performing store maintenance, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide effective customer service and quoting/order processing for both in-store and phone customers.

  2. Operate computerized registers, process payments (credit card, voucher, or authorized payment method), and issue receipts or other purchase documentation as needed.

  3. Deliver products by truck to customers on base and handle shipping/receiving tasks in a high-volume environment.

  4. Pick and pack orders received via email, phone, or internet for delivery or customer pickup.

  5. Manage inventory, restock merchandise displays, and maintain current and accurate shelf pricing labels.

  6. Perform general clean-up duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

  7. Carry out additional tasks as needed.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in order review and data entry.

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using email, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.

  • Capability to research vendors online and provide detailed quotes.

  • Preference for active work; must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Excellent driving skills, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proven track record of friendly, prompt, and effective customer service.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer functions.

  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift, place, and move at least 50 pounds frequently.

  • Frequent squatting, stooping, and bending while lifting.

  • Occasional twisting and repetitive movement.
