CDL Class A Driver – Local Delivery

Location: Ft. Myers, FL
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM start time (end time varies based on deliveries)
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

A large, well-established hardware and building products company specializing in construction materials and cabinet hardware is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver for local day-trip deliveries. This position offers home daily routes within a 3-hour driving radius of Ft. Myers.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating large trucks and box trucks, be comfortable assisting with loading and unloading materials, and have forklift experience. Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) experience is preferred but training is available.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local deliveries
Deliver hardware, cabinet parts, and building materials to customer locations
Assist with loading and unloading of materials at warehouse and job sites
Operate forklift for loading/unloading (required)
Operate Moffett forklift (preferred; training available)
Secure loads and ensure materials are delivered safely and accurately
Maintain delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License
Minimum 3+ years of CDL driving experience
Clean driving record (no recent tickets, accidents, or suspensions)
Forklift experience (required)
Moffett experience (preferred but not required)
Experience operating large trucks and box trucks
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work
Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy building materials
Frequent loading/unloading of products
Ability to work in outdoor and warehouse environments
