Pay Range: $20-$30 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Review architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Prepare accurate material takeoffs for structural steel, misc. metals, and components
• Develop detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and value‑engineering options
• Coordinate with vendors for pricing on materials, freight, and subcontracted work
• Assist in preconstruction planning and bid strategy meetings
• Track and update estimates through project award and handoff

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in steel estimating, construction estimating, or related field
• Strong understanding of structural steel, fabrication processes, and metal components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Proficiency with estimating software (FabTrol, Bluebeam, Tekla, or similar) a plus
• Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet bid deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
