The High Reach Operator / Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating high reach forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within a refrigerated and/or freezer warehouse environment at a meat processing facility. This position supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate high reach forklift equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials

• Pull and prepare orders accurately for shipment

• Load and unload trucks in accordance with company procedures

• Transport raw and finished meat products within cold storage environments

• Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners or warehouse management systems

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs

• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas

• Comply with all food safety regulations (USDA, FDA, HACCP) and company GMP standards

• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies

• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories

• Support production and packaging teams as needed

Work Environment

• Refrigerated (35–40°F) and freezer environments (0°F or below)

• Wet and/or slippery floors

• Exposure to raw meat products

• Fast-paced distribution setting

• May require overtime, weekends, or holiday work

Qualifications

• High Reach Forklift Certification required

• Minimum 1–2 years of high reach forklift experience preferred

• Experience in food manufacturing or cold storage warehouse preferred

• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods

• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

• Ability to work at heights up to 30+ feet
