Overview

Key responsibilities include inventory management and control, ordering parts and materials, as well as to supporting food safety and quality practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and inventory control systems,
  • Facilitates Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects for processes related to MRO purchases.
  • Prepares RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for product categories and completes bid evaluations.
  • Works closely with outside vendors and contractors to negotiate cost
  • Manage parts procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, and coordinating purchasing activities to meet production demands.
  • Support warehouse management functions by organizing stock locations, conducting regular cycle counts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement management to forecast demand planning needs and optimize inventory levels.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians to fulfill parts requests in a timely manner.
  • Support logistics activities related to shipping, receiving, and distribution within the manufacturing environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal department requests promptly and accurately.

Skills

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, logistics coordination, and sourcing strategies.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in manufacturing and logistics
  • Proficiency in data entry, demand planning tools, and inventory control techniques.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; familiarity with warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills across diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing strategies and vendor evaluation.
  • Understanding of FDA, GMP and Food Safety guidelines preferred
