Class A / B Diesel Mechanic

Located in Columbia, SC

Salary: $19–$35 p/h (Depending on Exp)

We are seeking a skilled Class A & B Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel- and gas-powered equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Repair, maintain, and overhaul diesel and gas engines and related components

• Service and repair brakes, transmissions, springs, rear ends, front loaders, and hydraulic systems

• Diagnose and repair fuel systems, air systems, air leaks, forklifts, and container handlers

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with trucks, tractors, hydraulic-operated pumps, and small-engine equipment

• Respond to road service calls in a timely manner and perform prompt on-site repairs

• Use specialized hand and power tools to complete repairs, including welding and fabrication as needed

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently

Qualifications:

• Experience as a diesel mechanic (Class A or B preferred)

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Welding and fabrication experience a plus

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, if applicable)
