Express Employment Professionals is seeking someone skilled in maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment used at the local City-owned golf course and parks. The role supports operational excellence while fostering public trust and delivering outstanding customer service to the community.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and service repairs on mowing equipment, vehicles, small engines, pumps, and related tools.
• Complete overhauls and rebuilds of small engines and turf equipment.
• Conduct field repairs and troubleshoot turf mowing conditions.
• Maintain detailed service and maintenance records.
• Sharpen mowing blades, knives, and hand tools.
• Operate welding equipment (ARC, oxygen, and acetylene torch).
• Assist with general grounds maintenance, including mowing and trimming.
• Bring and maintain a personal toolbox for daily use.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, turf and landscape maintenance equipment.
• Experience with golf course–specific equipment, including reel and rotary mowing units.
• Ability to operate reel/bedknife sharpening machinery, welding equipment, meters, grinders, triplex greens mowers, backhoe, and hand tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, recordkeeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in adverse weather conditions.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and building public confidence.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible mechanical experience (golf course mechanical experience preferred).
• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
