Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
  • Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, tire service, and system inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify equipment faults and determine repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
  • Inspect and test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Perform field service calls when required to support operations at job sites.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining shop cleanliness, equipment inventory, and tool organization.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment technician, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
  • Basic computer and diagnostic software proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • ASE Certification(s) or equivalent.
  • CDL (Class A or B).
  • Experience with [insert specific equipment brands: e.g., Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Peterbilt, John Deere].
