About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Order Delivery Specialist (ODS) for a large, well‑established heavy industrial plant in the Alcoa area. This top employer is seeking a detail‑driven, proactive professional to support their Supply Chain team and ensure on‑time delivery for customers.

This role requires strong communication skills, cross‑department coordination, and the ability to work occasional weekends or off‑shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Shipping teams to prioritize activities that support customer delivery performance.
• Balance delivery needs with operating efficiencies, cost considerations, and inventory impacts.
• Strengthen communication between downstream Production Centers and their suppliers.
• Interface with external customers through calls, emails, and occasional plant visits.
• Develop action plans for urgent customer requirements and communicate needs to operating departments.
• Coordinate customer order changes between Sales, Operations, Metallurgy, and Supply Chain Management.
• Monitor metal allocation for depot orders and plan material flow to meet delivery timelines.
• Manage order identification, order entry, and flow‑path coordination for outside processing.
• Provide direction to outside processors as needed.
• Act as a change agent to drive systemic improvements in delivery performance.
• Support production center scheduling when required.
• Participate in rotating weekend Supply Chain coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with supply chain transaction process improvements, workflow processes, or regulated compliance.
• Knowledge of procurement practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends or off‑shift hours.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

Pay

• $30–$33 per hour, depending on experience.
