Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Medical Transcriptionist to support a dermatology practice in Davenport, IA. This role focuses on accurately transcribing medical dictation and ensuring timely, high‑quality documentation within the EMR system.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe dermatology‑related dictation, including patient histories, exam notes, procedures, and treatment plans
• Review and edit medical documents for accuracy, grammar, and completeness
• Enter documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Ensure timely completion of reports to support patient care and billing
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
• Communicate with providers to clarify unclear dictation when needed

Qualifications

• Previous medical transcription experience required (dermatology experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Proficiency with EMR systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
