POSITION SUMMARY: The Sanitation Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across all assigned areas of the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, offices, bathrooms, warehouses, hallways, production areas, and exterior grounds. The role requires strict adherence to sanitation schedules, proper documentation of all completed tasks, and consistent compliance with company and regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform cleaning and sanitation duties across all facility areas, including offices, restrooms, warehouses, hallways, production zones, and outside grounds. Follow established sanitation schedules and complete all assigned tasks within required timeframes. Accurately document all sanitation activities, including checklists, logs, and GMP paperwork. Work across multiple segments of the sanitation department as needed. Multitask effectively, manage time efficiently, stay organized, and remain flexible when priorities shift. Maintain a basic understanding of sanitation standards, quality expectations, and food safety principles. Lift and move materials weighing between 25–50 lbs. Safely work with cleaning chemicals and wear a respirator if required. Occasionally work weekends to meet sanitation goals when necessary. Operate and maintain sanitation equipment in a clean and safe manner. Remain on the move throughout the shift, primarily in warehouse or production environments. Maintain working knowledge of GMP documentation and sanitation compliance requirements. Communicate effectively across departments and shifts. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal departments QUALIFICATIONS: Competencies: Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Clear oral communication skills to follow and complete assigned tasks. Strong attention to detail. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree preferred. Basic computer skills; ability to use Excel preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Working knowledge of warehouse or receiving processes preferred. Working knowledge of cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
