Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing steel fabrication company serving the energy, mining, ports & terminals, and industrial agriculture industries, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in Abbotsford.

This is a highly administrative and technically focused role supporting ongoing fabrication projects and client requirements. The position begins by assisting Project Managers with documentation and coordination and transitions into managing your own production and fabrication projects. This role is known internally as a strong stepping stone into Project Management.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare and submit technical documentation packages to clients
• Compile equipment manuals, maintenance schedules, and lubrication schedules
• Monitor project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
• Support Project Managers with ongoing client requests
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings and maintain clear communication between shop and clients
• Assist in ensuring projects meet contractual and QC requirements
• Track changes, risks, and documentation updates
• Transition into managing fabrication projects independently

What You Bring:

• Trade certification preferred, strong technical understanding required
• 2–3 years of experience in heavy industry, fabrication, or manufacturing
• Knowledge of QC schedules and technical documentation processes
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• High energy, organized, and career-driven

Growth Opportunity:

This position historically leads to rapid advancement. Previous incumbents have moved into engineering or leadership roles. It is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager position within a structured fabrication environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
