Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial manufacturing company in Abbotsford, BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full-Cycle Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team.

This role is ideal for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a structured, high-volume environment and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Cycle Accounts Payable

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, approval, and proper coding
• Perform 3-way matching (purchase orders, receiving documents, invoices)
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
• Ensure accurate GL coding and cost allocation

Data Entry & Vendor Maintenance

• Enter invoices accurately into the accounting/ERP system
• Maintain vendor files, tax documentation, and payment terms
• Monitor aging reports and outstanding balances

Payment Processing

• Prepare and process payments (cheque, EFT, wire transfer)
• Ensure payments are issued according to vendor terms and company policies
• Maintain positive vendor relationships through timely communication

Reconciliation & Reporting

• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
• Assist with month-end accruals and financial reporting
• Support audit preparation and documentation requests

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Maintain organized and audit-ready records
• Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume environments preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
