Express Employment is currently recruiting a Medical Procedure Scheduler for a local medical practice. The Medical Procedure Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, insurance providers, and patients to support smooth workflow and timely care delivery. This is a part-time position approximately 20 hours a week.

 

PAY: $17.00/hr

 

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-1:00pm

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule medical procedures, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and follow-up appointments based on provider availability and clinical requirements
• Verify that all necessary pre-procedure requirements are completed prior to scheduling
• Coordinate with multiple departments, physicians, and facilities to ensure proper room, equipment, and staff availability
• Communicate appointment details to patients, including preparation instructions, arrival times, and location guidance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients 
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards

EXPERIENCE:

 

• Experience in healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, or related field
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with insurance authorization or billing preferred
