We are currently seeking Frac Shop Technicians (Jman HET) to join our Red Deer Service / Frac Shop team. This position is hands-on and requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel and bi-fuel engines, support internal engine repairs and overhauls, and complete accurate service documentation while working safely in a fast-paced shop environment.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

• Performing internal engine repairs (bearing rolls, cylinder head replacements, piston packs, camshafts, oil coolers, turbo replacements)
• Completing pre and post repair run-up testing of customer units
• Troubleshooting and repairing diesel and bi-fuel engines, including transmission and hydraulic issues
• Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled service work
• Completing high-quality documentation (JSA, service worksheets, time sheets, warranty claims, and QC documents)

Qualifications and Skills

Required

• Heavy Equipment Technician or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson Certificate
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Strong initiative, attention to detail, communication, and organization skills

Preferred

• Current CVIP License, or willingness to obtain
• Experience with:
• CAT 3512, Cummins QSK50, Detroit 60, and MTU engines
• CAT TH48 and TH55 transmissions
• Experience working with and repairing frac equipment and truck/trailer units
