Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer/Machine Operator to support daily operations at their steel processing facility. This role involves operating heavy machinery, assisting with material handling, and performing general labor tasks to ensure efficient and safe production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate bar processing machines such as straighteners, grinders, or saws according to specifications

• Load and unload steel bars and materials using overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts

• Measure, inspect, and monitor materials for quality and accuracy using tools such as calipers and tape measures

• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns

• Assist with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the production floor and equipment

• Follow all company safety protocols, including wearing required PPE

• Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks in a steel mill environment

• Complete all required documentation and production logs accurately

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or steel environment preferred

• Familiarity with machine operation and basic mechanical troubleshooting

• Ability to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, or job orders

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
